Tired of snow and other rants.....

It has been a crazy few weeks filled with doctor appointments, travel and snow!

We drove to Cleveland to meet my parents on the 12th so my mom could be here to help out the week I had my stent removed and underwent a ureteroscopy. My mom enjoyed going to D's Valentine's day bowling party. D enjoyed having her take her to school and pick her up all week.

I had my ureteroscopy on Tuesday the 15th, more questions then answers were found. Apparently my kidney stones are not free floating in my kidney as assumed. I am not 100% sure what this means. I have to have a CT scan with contrast next week and then meet with the doctor again on the 8th.

Big Daddy's gout is still not under control, his uric acid level is still high. As soon as the attack it at bay he can begin taking medication that will prevent him from having another one (fingers crossed). He has completely changed his diet and has as a result lost weight. He is looking forward to to going back to the gym.

D and I took Grandma back to NY last weekend and spent a few days visiting friends and family. We had to shorten our visit to beat the storm, so we missed seeing everyone. Hopefully we can spend a week there this summer.

In school news: We have decided to just send D to our neighborhood school, we got a great feeling from the teachers and principal at the information night. We were disappointed that the bond did not pass on Tuesday, the school district really needed the money to update technology, buses and some other projects. It failed by a small margin with only about 7000 people voting, so it is very upsetting that people did not get out and vote. It would have cost tax payers very little, but as time goes by the amount of money the school will need is going to go up.....

N is suffering from another Gout attack after spending a week in Germany.

D passed level 2 swimming! (I am not sure I am ready for her to be with the big kids in level 3)

My mom is here to help out this week. I have another procedure to hopefully get to my kidney stones tomorrow.

D had a blast at her preschool bowling party for Valentine's day.

When surrounded by snow, make ice cream!

Snow (6 cups), cream (1 cup), sugar (1/2 cup), Sugar Free Pudding (1 Tbs), Vanilla (1 tsp).....mix, put back out outside for 15 minutes, then add 4 more cups of snow, stir and enjoy! (Crafting Crow website, posted by the Almost Unschoolers)
